Biography
Andrew Miller is a professional artist working in the South West of England. He is widely acclaimed for his landscapes and seascapes of this area, painted in a variety of media. He works mainly out of doors in order to capture accurately the light and colour of the countryside and coast.
His work includes: - Children's wildlife books published by Hutchinson and Collins - Greetings cards for Athena and the RSPB - One man exhibition at the Plymouth Theatre Royal - Demonstrator by invitation at the Art in Action Fair, Oxford - In 2011 he was appointed official War Artist to the Royal Marines, which was followed by a five week tour in Helmand Province working alongside the Marines. - Exhibition of military paintings at the Ivybridge Watermark Centre - Exhibition of military paintings at the Stonehouse Barracks, Plymouth, Royal Marines - Commissioned by Scots Dragoon Guards for a painting for their officers mess - Nationwide touring exhibition "Shoulder to Shoulder", Royal Marines - Commissioned by the London Scottish Regiment for a painting in their officers mess - Commissioned by the Commando Training Centre Lympstone for a 350th anniversary painting for their officers mess Galleries exhibited: - Wycombe Gallery, Stockbridge - Dart Gallery, Dartmouth - Coves Quay, Salcombe - Walker Galleries, Honiton, Harrogate - Brownston Gallery, Modbury
